Couple commits suicide by jumping before train near Dariyabad station

A 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old married woman on Tuesday committed suicide by jumping before a train near Dariyabad station in Barabanki district, police said.

The victims were native of Bhasauli village, they said, adding the bodies were recovered from the railway tracks near Dariyabad station signal.

The couple is said to have taken the extreme step after the woman was recently married off elsewhere, they said.

The bodies have been sent for post mortem.
