BANGALORE:  In two separate chain accidents involving BMTC and KSRTC buses on Friday afternoon, two persons were killed and a few others were injured.A 45-year-old man was killed on the spot and three cars and a bike were damaged after a BMTC Volvo bus rammed into the vehicles near Shilpa Choultry Junction on Bannerghatta Road. Raged by the incident, the public pelted stones at the bus. The deceased Sridhar, 45, a resident of BSK III Stage, was an employee of a software firm near Bilekahalli on Bannerghatta Road.The police said that around 12.15 pm, the BMTC Volvo bus plying between Kamakya and Bannerghatta, rammed into vehicles that were passing in front of it. It hit the bike on which Sridhar was riding pillion with his friend Lakshmikanth.Also, the bus hit three cars from behind damaging them severely. Sridhar was killed on the spot,  while his friend sustained injuries.“Both of them were going to attend a friend’s wedding. Irked by the incident, public pelted stones at the bus. In the melee, the bus driver managed to escape,” the police added. The body was shifted to Victoria Hospital mortuary and Mico Layout traffic police have registered a case.In the other accident reported in Yeshwantpur traffic police station limits, Raju, 40, a resident of Bagalagunte, was killed on the spot and three others sustained minor injuries, after a KSRTC bus rammed into their vehicles in a bid to avoid an accident with a mini lorry. The incident took place near S R S Junction on Tumkur Road.The police said that the bus was going towards Hassan and a mini lorry moving in front of it applied brakes suddenly at the junction. The bus driver to avoid an accident with the lorry, turned the bus to the right, running over Raju, who was going on a mobike. Also, the bus rammed into the mini lorry, a car and an auto rickshaw.Yeshwantpur traffic police registered a case.
