New Delhi: It's not often fate gives you a chance to quit the rat race. In fact the opportunity comes once in a 100 years. On February 9, 2011 (9-2-11) we revisit the timeless classic 'Nau Do Gyarah' and the legendary actor that breathed life into the role he played in it. Truth be told, this is the season of Dev Anand's reappearances. The coloured version of his 1961 classic 'Hum Dono' was released recently. It brought back some nostalgic moments from an era when plots were beautiful in their simplicity.
'Nau Do Gyarah' captures the pair of Dev Anand, who plays a loveable bounder, and Kalpana Karthik, the runaway bride, in a meandering plot that takes them through hairbrain schemes. The film had great music and some of SD Burman's best work.####
