THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The legal fraternity at District Court at Vanchiyoor in Thiruvananthapuram who are celebrating bicentennial anniversary the court have got one more reason to celebrate with the inauguration of CBI Court here on Monday. Chief Justice of Kerala High Court Jasti Chelameswar will inaugurate the CBI Court in the District Court complex on September 26 at 10.45 a.m. The inauguration will be presided over by Law and Finance Minister K M Mani. Devaswom and Transport Minister V S Sivakumar will deliver the special address. Deputy leader of Opposition Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, K Muraleedharan MLA, Judge-in-charge of Thiruvananthapuram District Justice Pius C Kuriakose, District and Sessions Judge B Sudheendra Kumar, Special Judge of CBI Court T S P Moosath, Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association president advocate C K Sitaram and Thiruvananthapuram Press Club president Pradeep Pillai will also attend the inaugural function. At 4 p.m on the same day, the Chief Justice will inaugurate the ceremony organised by Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association, Kerala Judicial Academy and Kerala High Court Legal Services Committee for honouring senior advocates of the District Court, who have completed 40 years of service in the legal profession. Justice Pius C Kuriakose, State Human Rights Commission chairman Justice J B Koshy, Justices A K Basheer and C K Abdul Rahim, Ministers K M Mani and V S Sivakumar, Thiruvananthapuram City Corporation Mayor K Chandrika, A Sampath MP and former Law Minister M Vijayakumar will also attend.
