Businessman held for abuse

CHENNAI: A Mumbai-based businessman was arrested on charges of criminal intimidation and using obscene language following a complaint filed by an educational trust at Teynampet on Tuesday.JCP (South Zone) K P Shanmugarajeswaran told Express that Sushil Gupta had loaned `2.25 crore to Sri Raghavendra Educational Trust, in Poes Garden, Teynampet. Last month, he visited the trust office and abused the trustees while demanding his money back. The trust had then lodged a police complaint, he said. Even as the inquiry was on, Gupta came to the trust office again on Tuesday. He used abusive language against the trustees over the police complaint, after which, the trust manager then lodged another complaint.
