HYDERABAD: Punjagutta police on Monday arrested a 35-year-old notorious burglar involved in about 15 offences in the city and Cyberabad commissionerate limits. Police recovered 1.5-kg gold ornaments worth Rs 35 lakh from him.According to police, the accused, Panchakshari Sanghaiah Swamy, a native of Sholapur, was earlier involved in 11 housebreaking cases in SR Nagar police station limits and jailed. After being released from jail, Swamy took to burglaries again.ACP, Punjagutta division, D Venkata Narsaiah said the accused targeted only locked houses.“During day time, he conducted recee of locked houses in SR Nagar, Punjagutta, Miyapur and Kukatpally and robbed the houses in the night,” the ACP said. The accused confessed to the crimes, he added.
