BOX OFFICE: Prince vs Jaane Kahan...
BOX OFFICE: Prince vs Jaane Kahan...
Read on to find out who the winner is

This week, there were two interesting releases. Interesting because a: Vivek Oberoi returns with Prince and b: cute pair Ritesh and Jacqueline return with Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. The promos of both the films didn’t really create a spark however with no other releases around, one of them is definitely going to have a bag filled with money.

Prince genre is action, a film by the first look gave a loud message about never seen before action and never used before technology in Bollywood. On the other hand, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai is a romantic comedy film, somewhat a typical Bollywood masala film. There was a picture of Vivek Oberoi standing in front of Gaiety Cinema besides a housefull board. Definitely, the opening of Prince might have surprised even the makers of that film. Die hard action movie lovers went and got their dose of action.

Mishra from Gaiety confirmed that Prince was a houseful show on the opening night. Shamal Gosadkar from Movie Hub Goregaon said, “Prince got a better opening on Friday compared to Jaane Kahan… But on weekends, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai picked up."

Though Ritesh and Jacqueline starrer Aladin didn’t do well at the box office, the pair did get a lot of appreciation for their chemistry. May be it is their chemistry which is turning out to be a crowd puller at the box office.

Vishwas from Meghraj Multiples Vashi said, “Both the films are doing decent. I can’t say which one is leading because that is not very clear yet. Both the film has got 40 to 50 percent opening here”. Manager at 24 Karat Jogeshwari did not beg to differ. He said, “ Prince was looking stronger and it also did well on Friday. But Jaane Kahan Se collection got better after Friday. Both of them are doing decent business”.

So, it is pretty clear that Vivek’s high end action stunts did pull in the crowds initially but Ritesh and Jacqueline’s fresh chemistry also found its takers. Both the films were never there to outdo each other but one question, which will never get answered in Bollywood is that why two good films are released on the same day?

Do you have any answer for this? Or any solution? Have your say?
