HYDERABAD:  Bodies of two out of three workers from Andhra Pradesh who died in a shootout in Kuwait on August 1 arrived at the Chennai airport on Monday. Their relatives received the bodies and took them to their respective villages for performing their final rites.The bodies that arrived were those of Maasannagaari Obul Reddy alias Krishna Reddy from Sarvepally in Nellore district and Nallagutta Ramanaiah from Aggivaaripalle in Chittoor district. However, even after pleas from the Migrants Rights Council for provision of free transport for the bodies, there was no response from the state government. The government, however, deputed officials to receive the bodies and hand them over to their grieving relatives.Four Indians, three from Andhra Pradesh died on August 1 when one police officer went on a shooting spree in three different locations in Kuwait. The police officer of the ministry of interior, who was reported mentally unsound, was later arrested by security forces.The body of the third victim Tokala Naresh Kumar from Naguvarivandlapalle in Kadapa district is expected at the Chennai airport on Tuesday.Migrants Rights Council (MRC) vice-president Mandha Bheem Reddy demanded the state government at least reimburse the victims’ families the transportation expenses from Chennai airport to their respective villages.
