Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will address a rally in Banswara in poll-bound Rajasthan on Thursday.

He was in Amethi on November 26 in his parliamentary constituency to inaugurate two trains and lay foundation of a new railway line in Salon area.

A day before visiting Amethi, he had hit out at BJP while addressing voters in Pushkar and had accused them of beautifying the city but ignoring the concerns of the poor. "Stomachs cannot be filled by only building fancy airports and constructing roads. We want poor people to progress and fly in aeroplanes one day. We make and implement policies for the poor, keeping each barrier faced by them in mind. Opposition does not think about the poor," he had said while citing landmark legislations - Right to Food, Land Acquisition Act, RTI and Rural Employment Guarantee Act to back his claims.
