Bid to rape woman

BANGALORE: Three unidentified men, who barged into a house in Aradhana Layout in Ejipura, allegedly tried to rape a woman. In a bid to escape from them, she jumped from the first floor of the house injuring her limbs and lower back.According to the police, four women were staying in the first floor of a building. Around 3.30 pm on Sunday, three miscreants barged into the house and tried to rape one of them. Three women managed to escape while the victim had to try hard to escape from their clutches. In this bid, she jumped from the first floor injuring herself. Public heard the women screaming and rushed to her help, but could not catch the miscreants. Later, the injured woman was hospitalised. Meanwhile, local residents alleged that the women were running a prostitution racket in the house and the police had not taken action despite complaining about it. However, the police did not confirm it and suspected them to be bar girls.
