Bhanwari case: CBI grills Maderna, Amar Chand
Bhanwari Devi's husband Amar Chand had alleged that she was abducted at the behest of ex-minister Mahipal Maderna.

Jaipur: In Bhanwari Devi disappearance case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday questionned her husband Amar Chand and sacked Rajasthan water resources minister minister Mahipal Maderna.

Bhanwari, posted as auxiliary nurse and midwife at a sub-centre in Jaliwada village, around 120 kms from Jodhpur, went missing on September 1 and Maderna is accused of having a role in her disappearance.

Amar Chand had alleged that Bhanwari Devi was abducted at the behest of Maderna.

A CD allegedly showing Maderna in compromising position with the 36-year-old nurse, had come to light after which she went missing from Bilara on September 1. Congress MLA Malkhan Singh has also been questioned by the CBI in the case.

CBI forensic teams on Thursday collected samples from some lime klins from Bilara and Pipara areas of Rajasthan, where Bhanwari Devi's body was allegedly disposed of.

The CBI has also recorded statement of labourers from the lime klins of the area in connection with the Bhanwari Devi disappearance case.

According to the CBI the nurse was murdered and her body disposed off in the line klins.

The samples collected will be matched with those of her relatives to verify and ascertain if Bhanwari Devi's body was disposed off in the lime klins.

The central investigative agency also found important evidence - blood, hair, cloth and locket - from a Bolero that was supposedly used for abduction.
