Bengaluru: Three people have been detained for questioning in connection with the alleged gangrape of a 22 year-old girl, who is working in a BPO. She was allegedly raped by the driver and helper of a tempo traveller on Saturday night.
The incident took place in South East Bengaluru when the woman was returning from work around 10 at night.
After raping the 22 year-old, who was living in Bangalore for the past few months, both the driver and helper let her go, after which she managed to reach her paying guest accommodation. Later, she went to the nearest police station and registered a complaint.
The FIR was registered on Sunday and the police confirmed rape after the medical test.
The van was seized after the victim provided the police with some leads on the vehicle's registration number.
