Agra: The Bajrang Dal has sparked off a controversy as it will start a campaign in Uttar Pradesh from February 17 to protect Hindu boys who marry Christian or Muslim girls. The Bajrang Dal has called it 'bahu lao-beti bachao' campaign.
The campaign also aims to sensitise Hindu families against their girls falling in love or getting married to Muslim or Christian boys.
Bajrang Dal's Ajju Chauhan said, " The Hindu community is being targeted with this concept. Hindu girls are cheated in the name of marriage and then sold into different corners of country. We are doing this for protection of Hindu girls. But we guide Hindu men to respect and welcome girls of another religions."
The Congress has slammed the Bajrang Dal on their new campaign. Senior Congress leader Manish Tewari said, "The politics of polarisation is against the Constitution and national security."
