HYDERABAD: The Special CBI Court on Friday dismissed the bail petition of Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law BV Srinivas Reddy. The court also dismissed the CBI’s plea seeking further custody of the accused.A day after hearing the arguments from both sides, the Special CBI Court magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma issued orders dismissing both the petitions - CBI’s plea seeking further custody of Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC)Managing Director Srinivas Reddy and Director Janardhan Reddy including the petition of the accused for bail.It is for the second time, the Special CBI Court dismissed the bail petition of Janardhan Reddy and Srinivas Reddy.Janardhan Reddy’s counsel filed the first petition seeking bail on September 13. The court dismissed it, while allowing the CBI to keep them in its custody for six days . The six-day CBI custody of the accused ended on September 19. The CBI’s counsel filed a petition in the court seeking nine-day custody of the two accused, to question them further in connection with the illegal mining case.Senior public prosecutor T Venkata Ramana said they would file a petition in the AP High Court seeking custody of the two accused for further questioning .
