HYDERABAD: Senior Telangana Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao has termed the comments of Union minister and in-charge of state Congress affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad as nonsense and said chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy should be ashamed of his failure to make a mention in the Assembly of the suicides of 600 Telanganites.Participating in a round table organised by the Telangana Intellectuals Forum at Jubilee Hall, Rao strongly condemned Azad’s comments that the issue cannot be resolved in a few days since there was a need to consult various political parties in the country and to take into account the concerns of the people of all the three regions. The Centre had already constituted the Pranab Mukherjee Committee to gather the opinions of all political parties, and the views of parties were taken several times, he noted.TDP rebel MLA K Harishwar Reddy stressed the need for all Telangana leaders to fight together for the cause. “It is now or never to achieve Telangana state,” he said.Telangana Praja Front leader Gadar criticised the Congress for its dithering. The participants, who included E Dayakar Rao and M Narsimhulu of TDP, G Mallesh of CPI and others, said the goal could be achieved only by creation of a political crisis in the state.
