HYDERABAD:  The Andhra Pradesh Co-Operative Bank  (APCOB) has decided to computerise all its 565 branches in the state shortly.Talking with reporters after a general body meeting held at the bank's office here on Monday, Yadavalli Vijayender Reddy, president of the bank, said the decision to computerise all branches was taken following the successful results of the computerisation of 26 branches— 24 in Hyderabad, one in Tirupati and one in Vijayawada and two extension counters in Hyderabad.Announcing that the bank made a post-tax profit of Rs 111 crore as on March 31, 2011, Reddy said that the bank had set a target  to provide Rs 3,915 crore kharif loans to farmers during the present year.“The Rabi target for 2011-12 is Rs 3,124 crore making a total annual target of Rs 7,039 crore. The bank declared 10 per cent dividend amounting Rs 19.13 crore to the District Central Co-operative Banks (DCCBs), which are its shareholders. The bank has set aside Rs 22 crore towards its cooperative development fund instituted for development of infrastructure of DCCBs."Reddy said the bank's deposits stood at Rs 3,621 crore in the financial year, up from Rs 3, 566 crore last year. The bank provided advances aggregating Rs 5,660 crore as against Rs 4,364 crore given last year.“APCOB declared the year 2011 as the year of technology infusion and capacity building. Towards this end, the bank has imparted basic computer skills to around 1,000 employees of cooperative credit structure (CCS) at its training institute in Rajendranagar in the city. Another 2,000 employees will be given training during the current financial year,'' he said.
