Anomalies unearthed in post office SB accounts

KOCHI: The postal authorities have unearthed discrepancies to the tune of Rs. 35 lakh in various savings bank accounts at Thirunakkara post office under the Kottayam Divisional Office. Depositors at the post office should contact the senior postmaster, Kottayam, or Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Kottayam Postal Division, and verify their account balance.  Investors, especially those transacting through agents, should check their balances at least once a year by contacting the respective head post offices, authorities said.
