Second-seeded Almagro took just 75 minutes on Gstaad's outdoor clay to overpower Gasquet 7-5, 6-1.
It is Almagro's seventh title and the second of the year after Bastad two weeks ago.
Seventh-seeded Gasquet was also aiming for a seventh title after winning at Nice earlier this year. He won Gstaad in 2006.
