Boston: An Air France flight out of Boston heading to Paris returned to make an early morning emergency landing 31 minutes after taking off.

Phil Orlandella, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Port Authority, said on Wednesday that Flight 321 left Logan International Airport with 125 people on board at 1:16 am on Wednesday. Shortly afterward, a warning light flashed for one of its engines.

Orlandella said pilots shut down the engine and returned to the airport. The Airbus 340 landed back at Logan at 1:47 am. No injuries were reported.

Air France spokeswoman Karen Gillo said there was no engine fire.

Passengers were booked hotel rooms for the night and scheduled to leave to Paris on another flight later on Wednesday.
