NEDUMBASSERY: Air India has launched a short-term promotion scheme, Silver and Platinum Pass, for passengers in its domestic network in an effort to provide air travel at competitive and affordable rates.The package which is valid for 10 days is being offered in two variants for unlimited travel in economy and executive class in the domestic sectors.Passengers buying the Silver Pass can fly on economy class to domestic sectors of their choice at an attractive fare of Rs 30,000 while passengers who purchase the Platinum Pass can travel in executive class at a fare of Rs 50,000. This fare is inclusive of taxes, Air India sources said.The Silver and Platinum passes are available for sale at the offices of Air India and its approved travel agents within India from today for one month. They will be valid for travel up to September 25. The day of commencement of the journey will be treated as the first day and 10 days will be counted from the date of commencement of the journey for determining travel validity.“Our effort is to provide our passengers with the most competitive prices while ensuring the best customer service,” an AI spokesperson said. Air India hopes that the passengers would make maximum use of the bonanza. Air India operates services to 63 domestic destinations and has a network of 33 international destinations with a fleet comprising Airbus A319, A320, A310, A330 Boeing B-737 800, B-777, apart from ATR-42 and CRJ aircraft.
