The parents of trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, who gained attention due to controversies over demands for a cabin and a house, are now evading authorities. This comes after a video surfaced online showing her mother threatening a farmer with a gun.
An FIR was filed against Khedkar’s parents for allegedly threatening a local farmer after an old video of Khedkar’s mother surfaced online showing the incident.
Pune Rural SP Pankaj Deshmukh stated that the accused are evading authorities and cannot be reached by phone as they have switched off their cell phones.
“The accused are on the run, we are trying to contact them but they are not reachable as their phones are switched off. We have also tried to reach their residence but they are not available,” Deshmukh told ANI.
“Several teams, including officials from the local crime branch and local police stations, are searching for them in Pune and nearby places where they have some farmhouses and other residences. If found, we will question them and take action accordingly,” he added.
Just days after her daughter’s transfer from Pune to Washim due to misuse of power, an old video of Manorama Khedkar, mother of trainee IAS officer Puja, surfaced online.
A case was registered against Manorama after she was seen waving a pistol at farmers in an old video that went viral. The police are now trying to find out whether Manorama had a license for the weapon
