HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) director-general D Boobathi Babu is poised to take on the government yet again by refusing to allow an officer, C Ravi Varma, to become a member of his team. The officer was transferred to ACB as joint director but the ACB boss is said to have doubts about his "reputation" and the government’s intention in transferring him to ACB.Boobathi Babu’s opposition to the transfer puts the state government in a fix, coming soon after it was told by the High Court to reconsider the abrupt transfer of liquor probe spearhead K Sreenivasa Reddy out of the ACB. The court had also asked Babu to approach it in case he needed any directions. Sources confirmed that Boobathi Babu has communicated his opposition to the General Administration Department (GAD) under which ACB functions.
