A rare reunion of siblings

ALUVA: It was a rare reunion of siblings on Wednesday when one of them who had got separated from the other two around eight years ago met her sisters at Janaseva Sisubhavan here.It was also an emotional moment for the inmates of Sisubhavan who witnessed the meeting of the three daughters of Harish-Usha couple of Anchal in Kollam.The reunion was quiet unexpected.Trying hard to control their tears, the sisters hugged and kissed each other.Their father Harish, who was also surprised to see two of his daughters at Sisubhavan, shared the happiness with his daughters.Harish-Usha couple has five children, including a son.Usha had left her husband following a dispute and taken four daughters with her to stay at her relative’s house.But, Harish later took away one of the daughters, Athira, from Usha. He admitted her to an orphanage in Pathanapuram where she studied up to the seventh standard.Harish got a job for Athira in a cashew nut factory in Perumbavoor. But, the local people objected to engaging a minor girl in the factory.Following this, Harish took his daughter to Janaseva Sisubhavan, seeking shelter. Athira was allowed to join the inmates of Sisubhavan where her two sisters, Aswathy and Aiswarya, had been sheltered by Usha nearly three years ago.The siblings have no information about their mother Usha, brother Harshakumar and sister Aswini.
