94% cable TV operators register with Arasu

CHENNAI: Information Technology Minister R B Udhayakumar on Thursday said that around 94 per cent of the cable TV operators in the Tamil Nadu have registered themselves with the State-owned Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited (ACTCL).  The policy note for the IT Department tabled by the Minister in the State Assembly said that there had been an overwhelming response from the Local Cable TV operators and Multi System Operators for joining the ACTCL. Till August 9, 2011, the last date of enrolment, 37, 670 operators have registered themselves with Arasu.
