The District Selection Committee (DSC) examination for the 6,007 posts of school assistants (SA) were conducted across 1,874 examination centres in the state for over 3.3 lakh aspirants on Sunday.
The morning session of the examination in Telugu, Hindi and English languages saw a turnout of 59,617 candidates, of the 65,509 halltickets issued in the state.
Around 1,066 candidates appeared for the test from Hyderabad district and 2,239 from Ranga Reddy.
For the afternoon session, held between 2 pm and 4.30 pm, in physics, mathematics, biological sciences and social studies papers, around 90.7 percent candidates appeared for the examination.
The highest number of candidates hailed from Nalgonda, and was followed by Mahbubnagar.
No untoward incidents were reported from any of the centres, said joint director of DSC, P.V Srihari
