Islamabad: Eight persons were injured when a blast caused by a leaking gas cylinder ripped through a hospital in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Wednesday, police said.
The explosion occurred on the second floor of the hospital at Sheikhabad area of Peshawar on Wednesday evening.
Several nearby shops caught fire after the blast. The injured persons were taken to Lady Reading Hospital. The fire service later extinguished the blaze.
