ROURKELA: A fast track court in Rourkela absolved seven suspected Maoist undertrial prisoners (UTP) of charges, while four others were released on Wednesday for lack of evidence against them. Identified as Rajesh Gudia, Salim Barla, Jablun Munda and Marshal Horo, they were arrested by Koida police of Bonai sub-division for their alleged involvement in the murder of CITU leader Thomas Munda and other violence. The court of Ad Hoc ADJ (Fast Track) Gopabandhu Patnaik did not find any evidence against Barla, Munda and Horo and issued the release order. Gudia was also set free as the government lawyer did not contest his release and all the four came out of jail by Wednesday evening. The court also acquitted Gangi Oram and his son Raju Oram, Jaidev Munda, Mahabir Mundari, Gangaram Gope, Manas Munda and another Raju Oram of several charges framed by the Chandiposh police. But, their immediate release was not possible as several other charges were pending.
