Coinciding with the Madras Week Celebrations, city-based Iconnect 3D has created a video song, featuring various landmarks of Chennai in 3D. The video of the song, titled ‘Vanakkam Chennai’, uploaded on YouTube offers a glimpse of the city’s culture and lifestyle, against the backdrop of significant locations.
Briefing newspersons at a press conference here on Wednesday, Manikanda Boopathi, technical advisor, iconnect 3D, claimed that it was for the first time that a video song about a city in India has been shot using 3D cameras.
Asked about other projects, he claimed that a wedding was completely filmed in 3D camera, which again happens to be the first in the country. Boopathi sought the government’s support for promoting 3D technology in tourism, transport and the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Board.
