As many as 10 passengers of two luxury buses, including the drivers, were injured when the vehicles collided with each other at Tirupattur in the wee hours of Saturday.
While one bus was heading towards Karaikal from Bangalore, the other was plying in the opposite direction. Drivers of both buses lost control and the vehicles crashed into each other around 3 am at Chunnambukalai near Tirupattur.
Drivers Krishnan (58) and Jaishankar (34), along with six passengers, were admitted to the Tirupattur General Hospital while two other injured passengers were taken to a private hospital in Chennai. Kandhili police have registered a case.
