Gurugram Man Robbed By Bumble Date Who Took His iPhone, Gold and Cash After Drugging Him
Gurgaon man falls victim to robbery by a woman he met on Bumble, loses iPhone, cash and gold jewellery after being drugged.

In a shocking incident that unfolded in Gurugram, a man fell victim to an alleged drugging and theft planned by a woman he had connected with on the widely-used online dating app, Bumble. The victim, identified as Rohit Gupta, recounted that his date took away not only his mobile phone but also his valuable gold jewelry. Additionally, she managed to deplete his bank accounts, totaling a substantial sum of Rs. 1.78 lakh.

The scene of this unfortunate incident was Gupta’s own residence, situated in DLF Phase 4. According to the narrative provided by Gupta to the police on October 11th, he had been engaged in conversations with a woman who went by the name Sakshi, also known as Payal, on Bumble. Sakshi introduced herself as a resident of Delhi who was temporarily residing with her aunt in Gurugram.

Gupta explained that on October 1st, Sakshi expressed a strong desire to meet him in person. He recalled that around 10 p.m., she called him, requesting that he pick her up from a location near the Dockyard Bar in Sector 47. After collecting her, they purchased some liquor from a nearby store before returning to his home.

Once they were inside his house, Sakshi, in an alarming turn of events, asked Gupta to retrieve some ice from the kitchen, while she remained in the living room. During this brief separation, it is alleged that she purportedly laced his drink with an undisclosed substance. The effects of this substance were so potent that Gupta was unconscious until the morning of October 3rd.

When he eventually regained consciousness two days later, he was met with the shocking revelation that both Sakshi and a plethora of his possessions had vanished. This included an iPhone Pro 14 device, two gold chains with an estimated worth of Rs. 90,000, and Rs. 10,000 in cash, along with credit and debit cards. These cards were subsequently used for unauthorised transactions amounting to Rs. 1.78 lakh.

Nevertheless, Sakshi remains elusive and has not been apprehended by the authorities as of yet.
