Veron injures calf in Nigeria match

Johannesburg: Juan Sebastian Veron says an injury to his right calf that forced him to come off in Argentina's 1-0 win against Nigeria wasn't serious.

Veron says he had a cramp, "nothing more." He was substituted in the 74th minute by Maxi Rodriguez on Saturday.

Argentina's next match is against South Korea, which beat Greece 2-0 in the other Group B match. If Veron doesn't recover in time, his likely replacement would be Javier Pastore.
