New Delhi: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had some scathing comments to make on the English Premier League after his side's Champions League exit at the hands of Italian giants AC Milan.
Ferguson was unhappy that Manchester United had to play back to back games through the week.
Manchester United played Everton over the weekend, faced AC Milan on Wednesday and will play Manchester City in a derby match on Saturday.
Ferguson had requested the Premiership to reschedule their matches so his side could be better prepared for the Champions League semi-final, but his request was denied.
Milan set up a repeat of the 2005 final where Liverpool struck thrice in six minutes to take away the honours.
Both these teams have a rich history in Europe's premier competition with 11 titles between them spread over decades.
It will be a mouth-watering contest in Athens on May 23.
