Veteran Portuguese goalkeeper Henrique Hilario has decided to stick with Chelsea to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
According to Sky Sports, the 37-year-old keeper has resigned with the Blues for a year-long deal.
It was said that Hilario might call time on his stay at Chelsea after he was included in the list of players who were released at the end of previous season.
However, even with a new contract, Hilario would most probably continue to be their third choice goalkeeper behind Peter Cech and recent signing Mark Schwarzer.
"It feels really good to sign a new contract for another year at the club, I'm very proud," said Hilario, who was signed by Jose Mourinho during his first reign with the club back in 2007.
"I'm really pleased to be part of this great squad and I'm looking forward to working once again with Jose Mourinho."
The Portuguese has 39 appearances to his name with 18 clean sheets.
