Bayern's interest and Chelsea coach Mourinho's reported intent to sell Luiz could see the defender move to Germany.

Champions League winners Bayern Munich are mulling over a £35-million bid for the star Chelsea defender David Luiz, according to the Daily Mirror.

Luiz, who played an important role in Brazil's Confederations Cup win in the final against Spain, is also eyed by Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and La Liga powerhouse Barcelona. The Spaniard's contract with Chelsea runs until 2017.

Media reports in the UK have hinted that Luiz isn't thought of very highly by the returning boss Jose Mourinho, who may sell him in the transfer season. The funds raised will fuel Mourinho's desire to bring more star power to Chelsea.

According to the newspaper Sport, new Bayern coach Pep Guardiola has has had serious talks with the club's sporting director Mathias Sammer over making a formal offer for Luiz. The officials of the German club are reportedly already in contact with the player's agent.
