Taapsee Pannu, Mathias Boe Are Married; Anurag Kashyap, Kanika Dhillon Attend Ceremony? | Exclusive

Taapsee Pannu has married her long-term boyfriend, Mathias Boe, sources told News18 Showsha exclusively. The actor and the former Olympic medallist tied the knot on March 23. Their families and closest friends attended the ceremony. A source revealed, “The wedding took place in Udaipur and was an extremely intimate affair. The pre-wedding festivities kick-started on March 20. The couple was very sure that they didn’t want any media attention on their big day. Both of them are known to be very private and reserved people and they wouldn’t have had it any other way.”

Our source added the wedding didn’t see the attendance of too many faces from Bollywood. However, Taapsee wanted only her closest peers to attend the wedding ceremony. “Taapsee’s Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati joined the guests at her and Mathais’ wedding. Anurag Kashyap, who shares a rather close bond with Taapsee and has directed her in films like Manmarziyaan and Dobaara and produced Saand Ki Aankh also flew to Udaipur,” says the source.

We’ve also got our hands on the news that Kanika Dhillon, who has closely worked with Taapsee on Haseen Dillruba, Manmarziyaan, Dunki, and Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba as a writer, and her husband Himanshu Sharma were a part of their big day as well. Interestingly, two days ago, Kanika shared a series of pictures on her Instagram where she was seen wearing a pastel ensemble. One of the hashtags in the caption read ‘#MereYaarKiShaadi’. The pictures are apparently from Taapsee and Mathias’ wedding.

Pavail also shared a snap on Instagram featuring Taapsee’s sister Shagun Pannu, her cousin Evania Pannu, close friend and actor Abhilash Thapliyal and badminton player Chirag Shetty. The post saw a cryptic comment by Abhilash who wrote ‘IYKYK’. Another comment by a user read ‘Congrats coach’.

Taapsee Pannu and Danish badminton coach Mathias Boe met at the inaugural Indian Badminton League in 2013. Love blossomed between the two and soon the families met. While Taapsee largely managed to keep details about her love life under wraps, she once stated in an interview that they began chatting on X (formerly Twitter) and then proceeded to meet one another. A report recently stated that they are all set to get married in March after dating each other for over a decade.

On the work front, Taapsee will be seen in Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan, and Khel Khel Mein. Her last release was Dunki where she was paired opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
