This case dates back to 2013 when Dr E Ramesh Kumar started going on deputation services to Andhra Pradesh. At that time, he had resigned from the post of Collector of Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh. It was at this time, the IAS officer’s wife made many grave allegations against him. As per the reports, she wrote a 16-page letter to the then Chief Secretary R Parshuram and termed her husband as one of the most corrupt IAS officers. According to the media reports, E Swapna had mentioned in the letter that her husband had invested his earnings in different accounts. She alleged that her spouse had made the excuse of going on deputation to settle those earnings.
The wife also accused her IAS husband of purchasing a plot in the Visakhapatnam district and building a house at Rs 6 crore. In addition to these charges, she had also accused Ramesh of physical assault.
