The final results for the recruitment of the UPSSSC Village Development Officer (VDO) and Social Welfare Supervisor, which had been pending since 2018 are set to be released by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission in August. This information was provided by UPSSSC Chairman ON Singh.
He mentioned that the candidates would surely get justice. The examination for this recruitment was conducted in the year 2018. The recruitment was later cancelled due to some irregularities. Following a long wait, the re-examination was conducted in June 2023.
The UPSSSC Chairman further mentioned that the document verification process for this recruitment drive has been completed and the final result will be out soon. He assured the candidates that the results will be announced by August. He further mentioned that the complaints regarding the examination were received. A proper investigation was conducted after receiving the complaints. The exam was then cancelled to ensure justice. ON Singh mentioned that the appointment letters for the eligible candidates will also be issued accordingly.
ON Singh said that Special Investigation Team was investigating the irregularities and after the investigation, the conducting body was blacklisted and fined. The case is presently pending at the High Court. He further said, “This is a separate issue and the candidates will get justice soon. The results will be surely announced by the end of August.”
As per reports, the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) announced the recruitment of 1953 candidates for the posts of Village Development Officer and Social Welfare Supervisor in 2018. The examination was conducted but it was later cancelled after allegations of some malpractices were reported. The exam was called off by the board after the announcement of the results.
An investigation was ordered by the officials and a special team was made. The Special Investigation team found the irregularities which led to the cancellation of the examination. The matter then reached the High Court where it is still pending. However, a re-examination was conducted in June 2023 and the results are now expected to be announced soon.
