The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on February 1 released an important notice concerning the commencement of the personality test (PT) or interview round for the Civil Services Main Examination (CSE) 2023. Those who are going to appear for the personality test can now check and download the official notice by visiting the main website of the commission at upsc.gov.in.
As per the notice, the commission will open the Detailed Application Form (DAF) – I of CSE 2023 for candidates to update their details regarding employment or service allocation. Candidates will be able to update their details via the Commission’s official website. The process to apply for the DAF – I will be activated from February 1, 2024, to February 5, 2024, up to 6 pm. After closing the service window, no further requests will be entertained by the Commission.
The Commission decided after receiving numerous requests from candidates who appeared in P.T. or Interviews and were recommended through CSE 2022 or previous CSEs but were unable to be assigned a service before the closing date of DAF – I of CSE 2023 to update their employment or service allocation details in DAF.
“Therefore, such candidates are advised to update their details, if applicable, at the above link w.e.f. 01.02.2024 to 05.02.2024 (06:00 PM), irrespective of the fact whether they have sent any communication/representation/email, etc. to the Commission at an earlier date for updating the said details,” read the official notice.
According to the notice, Phase I of the personality test program is currently underway. The personality test commenced on January 2, 2024, and will end on February 16, 2024. In addition, Phase II of the personality test program is scheduled from February 19, 2024, to March 15, 2024.
In due course, the schedule for the remaining candidates’ personality tests will be posted on the Commission’s website. Candidates are eligible to take the personality test if they have passed the written exam. The UPSC Mains Exam 2023 was conducted from September 15, 2023, to September 24, 2023. The Commission declared the results on December 8, 2023. The UPSC Preliminary Exam 2023 was conducted on May 28. In 2023, approximately 13 lakh candidates sat for the UPSC Preliminary exam, with approximately 15,000 being selected for the Mains examination.
