TNPSC CESE 2024 final merit list is now available for download at the official website- tnpsc.gov.in.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has issued the final merit list for the Combined Engineering Service Examination (CESE) 2024. All the candidates who appeared for the final phase of the recruitment exam can check and download the final merit list through the official website,tnpsc.gov.in by entering their registration number and date of birth. The authority conducted physical certificate verification and oral tests for candidates who were shortlisted in the written exam on August 28 and 29, in two sessions.

Step 1: Navigate to the official website of TNPSC attnpsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Upon reaching the homepage, click on the CESE Result link under the Recruitment tab.

Step 3: The result will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.

Step 4: Check your name and roll number in the final merit list.

Step 5: Save the result for future reference.

TNPSC CESE 2024: Passing Criteria

Candidates belonging to the General categories need to score a minimum of 228 marks out of 500 in the written examination, while the SC, ST and OBC candidates require 171 marks.

TNPSC CESE 2024: Selection Process

The TNPSC CESE selection process included a written test comprising two papers. Paper I consisted of subject-specific questions (300 points) and Paper II focused on general studies and mental abilities (200 marks). Candidates who passed the written exam were called for the document verification process, which was held on September 10. The oral test and physical certificate verification took place on August 28 and 29.

After the verification of original documents, including educational certificates, identity proof and caste certificates, shortlisted candidates had to appear for an oral test. The interview, consisting of 70 points, evaluated the candidate’s personality, technical knowledge and communication abilities.

The final merit list has been prepared by the commission based on the combined scores of the candidates in both written and oral tests. Shortlisted candidates will be issued appointment orders and assigned to Government departments such as Public Works, Highways and Rural Development.
