The answer key of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test or TANCET 2024 is slated to be released tomorrow, March 13, as per the notice on the official website. Candidates who took the exam may check the answer keys on the official website at tancet.annauniv.edu, once released. The exam was conducted on March 9 — the MBA exam took place from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The results are anticipated to be declared by April 14, 2024. The counseling round is expected to begin tentatively in the last week of April. Candidates can estimate the college they may get admission to by checking the previous years’ TANCET cut-off.
The examination was conducted in offline mode for 120 minutes or two hours. Candidates can use the answer key to calculate their probable scores via the marking scheme. The exam pattern features a total of 100 questions carrying one mark each. There is a negative marking of one-third of the total marks for each incorrect answer.

The TANCET is held every year for students who wish to apply for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Architecture (MArch), and Master of Planning (MPlan) programmes offered by Anna University.
Candidates willing to apply for the exam must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or college. The general category candidates need a minimum of 50 per cent and the reserved category needs 45 per cent to appear for the exam.
The TANCET 2023 results were released on April 14. The Master of Computer Application (MCA) exam attracted a total of 24,468 applicants, however, 1,715 of those students failed to show up for the exam. While 5,41 students did not show up for the TANCET last year Master of Business Administration (MBA) exam, which had approximately 9,820 registered candidates.
