The application process for the NEET exam to be conducted for admission to medical colleges has started. This examination will be conducted on May 5. Candidates wishing to apply for the NEET exam can apply through the official website neet.ntaonline.ac.in. Applications for NEET UG 2024 will be taken in till March 9 so you have less than a month till the deadline for applications is closed.
Candidates will have to pay the application fee while applying online for NEET. The application fee for candidates belonging to the general category is Rs 1,700. For candidates belonging to the General-EWS/ OBC-NC, the fee is Rs 1600 and for SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender, it is Rs 1000.
Candidates applying for NEET UG 2024 must have a valid email ID and mobile number. Also, candidates will have to be photographed without a mask – 80% of the face should be visible, including ears. Candidates must keep some important things ready before filling out the application form. This includes the following documents.
-Passport size photograph
-Postcard size photograph
-Fingers and thumb impressions of left and right hands
-Signature
-Category Certificate
-Person with Benchmark Disability (PWBD)
-Certificate Citizenship Certificate
It is recommended that candidates bring four to six postcard-sized (4″ x 6″) colour photos with a white backdrop and six to eight passport-sized photos. Photos must be uploaded to the online application form, and utilised for admission, counseling, and examination. In addition, the NTA states that all NEET UG 2024-related documents must use the same photo for all purposes.
The exam will last for three hours and twenty minutes. There are four subjects in the NEET (UG) – 2023 test pattern. Every topic will have two sections. There will be 35 questions in Section A and 15 questions in Section B. Of these 15, candidates may pick to answer any 10 questions. Thus, the total number of questions and time spent will not change.
