The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will be announcing the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Counselling 2024 date anytime soon. It is expected to begin by the end of June or the first week of July. However, an official announcement for the date of counselling is still awaited. The schedule will be released on the official portal of KEA at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
The KCET Counselling process comprises four stages- Document verification, Choice Filling, KCET option entry, Seat Allotment and reporting to the institutes.
KCET 2024: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the counselling procedure, candidates must have passed the KCET exam, should have to be an Indian citizen and have also cleared Class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects.
KCET 2024: Counselling Process
The procedure will begin online and qualified candidates will have to submit their documents for verification – KCET 2024 Hall Ticket ID, Class 10th and 12th mark sheet, 2nd PUC Scorecard, KCET 2024 Application form, Photographs, Study Certificate- Proof of studying in Karnataka for 7 years, Income Certificate and more. The list will of documents will be mentioned on the official portal.
Choice filling: After successful verification of the documents, candidates have to fill up their preferred choice of college and courses.
Seat Allotment: Based on the merit, rank of the students and availability of seats at the colleges, KEA will announce the mock seat allotment result of KCET 2024. Candidates can check their chances of admission based on their merit and make changes if required.
After this, the final seat allotment will be released and the candidates can confirm their seats by paying the acceptance fee.
Reporting at the college: Lastly, the students who have deposited the acceptance fee will have to report to their allotted college within a given period with their original documents. KEA announced the KCET 2024 results on June 1. As per the official stats, around 3.27 lakh candidates appeared for the exam which was conducted on April 18 and April 19.
The KCET examination is conducted annually for students seeking admission to various undergraduate engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses offered by the colleges in Karnataka. For further information, students are advised to visit the official website of KEA.
