The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the JoSAA Mock Seat Allotment List/Result 1. It can be accessed on the official website at josaa.nic.in. Candidates will have to enter their JEE Main 2024 application number and password to view the JoSAA seat allocation results.

The JoSAA mock seat allotment is a provisional allocation that gives candidates an idea of their expected results in the counselling process. It is available for the candidates who completed the choices by 8 PM on June 14.

Students have time till 5 pm on June 18 to fill in the choices for JoSAA counseling. This year, 59917 seats are available in 21 colleges and 865 branches in JoSAA counseling. More than 1,56,000 students have participated in JoSAA 2024 counseling. They have submitted more than 1 crore 68 lakh choices. The complete schedule of JoSAA counseling will be available on its official website.

The provisional allotment allows candidates to check and decide whether they want to change their choices or go ahead with their selected preferences. Meanwhile, candidates can register for the counselling process until Tuesday, June 18.

JoSAA Mock Seat Allotment List/Result 1: Steps to View

To obtain the provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter, candidates should adhere to the instructions below:

Step 1: Visit the JoSAA’s official website at josaa.nic.in.

Step 2: Look for and click on the ‘JoSAA Seat Allotment 1’ result link.

Step 3: As a new window opens, enter your password and JEE Main roll number. Then click on the “Submit”.

Step 4: The provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Check and download the allotment letter for future use.

This year 355 seats have been added in IITs. Last year there were a total of 17 thousand 385 seats in IITs. This year the number of seats in IITs has increased to 17740. This year a total of 865 choices can be filled. Out of these, 295 choices are in 23 IITs, 32 in NITs, 26 in TRIPTIs and 40 choices are in GFTI.

The mock seat allotment is conducted to help students assess their chances of securing admission to their preferred institutes before the last date for locking final choices. It allows for analysing of the available options. The second mock seat allotment result will be declared on June 17 at 12.30 pm.
