Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISCE) released the ISC and ICSE exam results on May 6. A total of 98.19 per cent of students passed Class 12 while the Class 10 overall pass percentage is 99.47. Among many meritorious students who topped in their respective schools and districts through coaching and tuition, Vedant Priyadarshi is the one who topped in his district through self-study. Vedant Priyadarshi became the Bokaro district topper in the Arts stream by scoring 90 per cent in Class 12. He aspires to become an IAS officer.
While talking to Local18, Vedant Priyadarshi said that he used to study regularly for 8 hours daily. He has not taken any kind of coaching. He achieved this success based on his self-study. He didn’t join any coaching institute to prepare for the Class 12 board. When in doubt, he used to study with the help of YouTube, the topper added.
At the same time, Vedant advised the upcoming Class 12 board students to study with discipline as it is the key to success. Practising with the previous year’s question papers will help the student perform better in the exams.
Vedant has given the credit of his success to his parents and school teachers. He believes that with the blessings of his peers, he was able to achieve success in the exams. Vedant said that his father Vinod Ram is working in the technical department of Ranchi Forest Department while his mother Sunita is working as a nurse at Bokaro General Hospital.
Vedant’s mother Sunita said that she is very happy with her son’s success. She is confident that Vedanta will continue to achieve such feats in the future. “He will bring glory to the family and the country,” added Sunita. Vedant has scored 90 marks in English, 90 in Hindi, 93 in Sociology, 87 in History and 73 in Economics. Apart from this, he also likes travelling and playing football.
In Class 10, Bokaro resident Ayush Suman topped the district and scored 98 per cent. He is a student of Saint. Xavier School, Sector 1, Bokaro. He used to study for seven hours daily and during the last two months of exams, he studied for more than 10 hours.
