Delhi University To Offer Admission In B.Tech Courses Without JEE
There are a total of 50 seats for B.Tech Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation courses in the Cluster Innovation Center of DU.

Delhi University (DU) provides a wide range of B.Tech courses, with admission typically requiring candidates to pass the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. However, not all B.Tech programmes at DU necessitate a JEE Mains scorecard. For instance, a B.Tech in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation at DU can be pursued without appearing for the JEE test. Instead, candidates can secure admission to these courses by taking the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) exam. The Cluster Innovation Center of Delhi University offers the B.Tech in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation branch.

Within the Cluster Innovation Center of DU, there are a total of 50 seats available for B.Tech Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation courses. Among these, 20 seats are reserved for the unreserved category, 7 for SC, 4 for ST, 14 for OBC and 5 for the economically backward (EWS) minority category.

The tuition fee for B.Tech Information Technology (IT) and Mathematical Innovation (MI) at DU’s Cluster Innovation Center is Rs 5000 per semester, which is lower than that of most engineering colleges. Additionally, an additional refundable security fee of Rs 1000 is required for admission. Candidates seeking information about the fee structure and seat matrix of the institute are advised to visit the official website of the Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) at https://cic.du.ac.in/.

To be eligible for admission to these courses, candidates must have passed Class 12 with a Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). The Common Entrance University Test (CUET) for undergraduate programs across central and private universities is conducted once a year. This nationwide test commenced on March 11 and will conclude on March 28, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) overseeing it via computer-based mode.

DU’s B.Tech courses are known for their affordability. Last year, the university took a significant step to support students from economically weaker backgrounds by offering fee exemptions. According to reports, the annual fee for most B. Tech courses at DU will be Rs 2.16 lakh. However, students from families with an annual income of up to Rs 4 lakh will be exempted from paying any fees.
