The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the answer key and OMR response sheet of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 session today, February 7. Candidates who took the exam can download it from the official website at ctet.nic.in. Those who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key can file objections by February 10 for a fee of Rs 1,000 per question.
The exam was conducted by the board on January 21. CTET 2024 was held in 3,418 test centres in 135 cities across India. The answer key allows candidates to estimate their scores and determine their chances of qualifying. Candidates can also use the answer key and the marking scheme to calculate their probable scores.
CTET January 2024 Provisional Answer Key: How to Raise Objection
Step 1: Go to the official website at ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the “CTET 2024 provisional answer key” link, when activated.
Step 3: On the new page, enter the application number and date of birth to log in. Then click on submit.
Step 4: The CTET 2024 provisional answer key will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Check and download the CTET January 2024 answer key.
Step 6: Go to the answer key objection link.
Step 7: Enter login credentials.
Step 8: Select the question(s) to which you want to raise an objection.
Step 9: Provide substantial documents.
Step 10: Pay fees and submit.
If the objection is found to be valid, a policy decision will be made and the fee refunded. In addition, every correct answer is worth one mark, and there is no penalty for incorrect responses. Candidates will have to score a minimum of 60 per cent marks (55 per cent for reserved categories) to pass the exam.
Around 27 lakh candidates registered for the CTET January 2024 session, which includes around 9.58 lakh for paper 1 (Class 1-5) and around 17.35 lakh registered for paper 2 (Class 6-8). The exam consists of two question papers: Paper-1 is used to determine teacher eligibility for classes 1 through 5, and Paper-2 is used to determine teacher eligibility for classes 6 to 8.
