CTET 2024: The exam will be conducted in two shifts, Paper 1 from 9:30 AM to noon and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5 PM

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, will close the registration process for the Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET), December 2024 today, October 16. Interested and eligible candidates have just a few hours left to apply for the exam via the official website, ctet.nic.in. According to the official schedule, the exam is set to take place on December 14.

CTET December 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification: To appear for CTET December 2024 Paper 1, candidates must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and a two-year D.El.Ed / four-year B.El.Ed course. For Paper 2, graduation with 50 per cent marks and B.Ed or its equivalent degree is required.

Age limit: The minimum age to apply for CTET December 2024 is 18 years. However, there is no upper age limit.

How to apply for CTET December 2024?

Step 1: Navigate to the official website, ctet.nic.in.

Step 2: Upon reaching the homepage, click on the CTET December 2024 link.

Step 3: Register yourself on the portal and generate a User ID and password.

Step 4: Continue with the application process and fill in the registration form.

Step 5: Pay the application fee and click on proceed.

Step 6: Download and take a hard copy of the form for future reference.

CTET December 2024: Application Fee

To apply, the candidates belonging to the General and OBC (non-creamy layer) need to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both papers. However, the SC, ST, and handicapped candidates need to pay Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both.

CTET December 2024: Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted in two shifts, Paper 1 from 9:30 AM to noon and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5 PM. Paper I will be for candidates who want to teach Classes I through V, while Paper II will be for applicants who want to teach Classes VI through VIII. Applicants can appear for both Paper I and Paper II.

CTET is a national-level eligibility exam administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to determine candidates’ eligibility for appointment as teachers in Central Government Schools such as KVS, NVS and others.
