The BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) has extended the dates for the Headmaster Exam. According to the new notification released, the date has been shifted to the last week of June.
Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on June 23. Now, as per the notification, it is going to be held on June 28. The BPSC will conduct the exam in one shift, more reports state. Furthermore, a letter was sent to all the DMs by the commission, to finalise the list of centres where the exam will be held.
According to the letter issued, the educational institutions are to be selected based on the criteria, so that the test can be carried out smoothly. On the day of the examination, no teaching classes should be scheduled or any other examination. Apart from that, the staff has to make the proper arrangements for all the basic facilities. These facilities include bench-desk arrangements, a wall clock, light, availability of water and toilets at the exam centre.
As per more information, the headmaster examination is going to be conducted in 25 districts, by the commission. The districts are Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Nalanda, Gaya, Nawada, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Munger, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Khagaria, Banka, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Katihar, Purnia, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Vaishali, East Champaran, West Champaran, Saran, Siwan and Gopalganj.
Before this, the commission had scheduled the third phase of the examination on March 5, but it was cancelled for an unknown reason. After that the exam was to take place between June 10 to June 12, however, a stay was imposed by the High Court. The exam’s third phase is being done for 87,774 posts of teachers in the state. Around 5 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the examination.
Moreover, the Head Teacher examination was previously scheduled for the date of June 22. Now, it has been moved to June 29, according to the notification. The shift in dates is being done to avoid a clash with the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination
