The Indian Air Force (IAF) has started accepting applications for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2024 today, May 30. Candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment exam can do so by completing the IAF AFCAT 2024 application form on the official websites careerindianairforce.cdac.in and afcat.cdac.in. The AFCAT 2024 exam will be held on August 9, 10, and 11, 2024.
AFCAT 2024: Vacancy Details
The AFCAT 2024 exam serves as a means to select candidates for both the Flying Branch and the Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branch in the Indian Air Force. A total of 317 positions in the department are up for grabs with this recruitment effort.
AFCAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Flying Branch should be between the ages of 20 and 24, while those applying for the Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches should be between the ages of 20 and 26.
A minimum of 50 per cent marks in the 12th grade is required to be accepted to the Air Force’s Flying Branch. Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics in class 12. Following that, candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any subject or a bachelor’s degree in technology with at least 60 per cent score.
To be eligible for Ground Duty, candidates must have completed their class 12 with at least 50 per cent in Physics and Mathematics and must be a graduate with a minimum of 60 per cent in engineering or technology.
AFCAT 2024: How to Register
Step 1: Go to the IAF’s official website at afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT.
Step 2: Select the news section from the homepage.
Step 3: Select “AFCAT 2024 registration” from the menu.
Step 4: You will be brought to a new window where you must input the essential information and log in.
Step 5: Fill out the application form and submit.
Step 6: Pay your registration fee.
Step 7: Download the AFCAT 2024 application form for future use.
AFCAT 2024: Selection Process
A written test, an interview with the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), and a medical exam are all part of the selection process. The AFCAT written test comprises 300 points. Throughout the two hours of the exam, 100 questions will be asked.
