In a video going viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the fan was captured showing his broken iPhone. Daryl Mitchell, however, made sure to compensate for the damage. He met the fan and gifted his batting gloves to him. The person later snapped a picture with the accessories.

Another CSK fan shed light on the heartwarming gesture by Mitchell via another post. The caption read, “A guy got hurt and broke his iPhone during practice. Daz gave him his Gloves as a reward.”

The post soon spread like wildfire and social media users did not forget to react hilariously in comments.

“He must buy a phone for him,” wrote a person.

This person felt that it was, “Not fair at all, should reduce some points for fair play.”

Another social media user cheekily responded, “I’d have just asked for money but okay.”

This user was in awe of Daryl Mitchell’s gesture and said it was one of the “Life time memories with gloves.”

Daryl Mitchell was one of the top-performing batters for Chennai Super Kings in the match against Punjab Kings. After Ajinkya Rahane returned to the dressing room in the second over of the contest, Mitchell came to the crease, joining hands with CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. Mitchell eventually fell victim to Harshal Patel, who trapped him for an LBW. The Kiwi star slammed two boundaries and one six during his 19-ball innings to score 30 runs. The reigning champion won the contest against the Punjab-based franchise by 28 runs.
